Our space honors both tradition and locality. The centerpiece of our facility is crafted from a majestic 220-year-old Cedar tree from Cedar Grove, while partnerships with Placerville Glass and Woodmill Furnishings reflect our commitment to supporting local craftsmanship.We believe in making the profound benefits of traditional sauna and cold immersion therapy accessible to everyone

WHAT IS AUFGUSS?
Aufguss originated in Germany, where the word itself means "infusion" or "pouring over". The ritual began from the simple necessity of refreshing air inside saunas. Over time, this functional practice evolved into an elaborate wellness ritual around Europe, incorporating essential oils, choreographed towel movements, music, and storytelling. It's used in Scandinavia along with Löyly to enhance sauna experience.
HOW WE PRACTICE AUFGUSS
The ritual begins as essential oil-infused ice meets our hot stones, releasing therapeutic steam throughout the space. Through skillful towel movements, our guides direct these aromatic waves, ensuring even distribution of heat and scent. Each round features a unique combination of essential oils, creating an evolving sensory journey enhanced by carefully curated music.
Popular scents include Sweet Orange, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Douglass Fir, and Patchouli.
